Alycia Holland is a Houston transplant from Charlotte, NC. She started traveling because of her love for new experiences and food which culminated into her two favorite hobbies: travel blogging and a self-identified food critic. After many years of traveling the world and visiting over 20 different countries, planning trips for friends, and instructing others in the art of traveling on a budget with little vacation time, she’s decided to share her experiences with a broader community. Her goal is to inspire others to get outside of their comfort zone and travel somewhere new.

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”

Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.

World Citizen’s blog is the culmination of Alycia and Correy’s dreams. Both of them having a passion for gaining new insights and new experiences and their love for people. This blog was intended to provide a different perspective on travel. Travel is no longer for the rich and well off. Everyone can and should have the opportunity to explore the world and learn about other cultures for themselves. So many times we tend to believe what the media says about other countries and have preconceived notions about other people and how they live. The more you travel, the more you begin to understand that while we all have differences we are human beings and have much more in common.

The kindness that we have been shown when traveling is phenomenal and we want to share our adventures with you in the hopes that this motivates you to take a trip! We would love to hear from you and understand your experiences! Let’s connect!
